TWBL PROJECT

KEEPING THE ARTS ALIVE during the COVID-19 Pandemic! Starting in May 2020, I worked to reunite performers from previous Grand Theatre shows to record and produce music videos and release performances via Facebook, Instagram & YouTube with the THERE WILL BE LIGHT PROJECT. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and quarantining precautions during this time, all vocals/video were recorded by performers individually via their phones and basic recording equipment in their own homes and then sent to me for editing and producing. Through the use of programs including iMovie, Adobe Premiere, GarageBand, and Videoblocks, I was able to produce 12 music video performances and help keep the arts alive during a dark time for the theatre community. I was inspired by one of my favorite shows, and a show I had directed with the Grand (NEXT TO NORMAL) when coming up with the name and meaning behind this project. We started the project off by reuniting the cast of N2N to perform the very song that the project is named for.
